Domaine Boyar won the most medals for Bulgaria once again
The leading Bulgarian winery “Domaine Boyar” triumphed once again with a rich collection of medals at this year's editions of the most prestigious international competitions – Vinalies Internationales (Paris), Mondial du Rose (Cannes) and Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, which was held in Bratislava this year.
Since the beginning of the year, the wines of Domaine Boyar have won a total of 21 medals, of which 13 gold and 8 silver.
Domaine Boyar won its first awards in March at the largest native wine competition – Vinaria 2013 – where quality wines of the winery won nine gold medals. The winner wines are: Ars Longa Chenin Blanc & Chardonnay 2012, Ars Longa Sauvignon Blanc & Pinot Grigio 2012, Elements Chardonnay 2012, Quantum Sauvignon Blanc 2012, Quantum Rose Pinot Noir & Syrah 2012, Quantum Cabernet sauvignon 2011, Next 20 Years Chardonnay & Sauvignon Blanc 2011, Domaine Boyar Platinum Chardonnay Barrel Fermented 2011, Domaine Boyar Platinum Cabernet Franc 2011.
The only Bulgarian white wine that came back with a gold medal from Vinalies Internationales 2013 is the exclusive blend Next 20 Years Chardonnay & Sauvignon Blanc, vintage 2011. Right after its release, the wine was called "one of the most fascinating Bulgarian white wines" and the prestigious award undoubtedly proves this assertion.
Domaine Boyar Platinum Chardonnay Barrel Fermented 2011 and Domaine Boyar Platinum Cabernet Franc 2011, which are distinguished by their extremely good quality-price ratio in the highest price class, came back from this competition with two silver medals.
After its spectacular triumph two years ago at Mondial du Rose in Cannes (the most important competition for rose wines in the world), where Domaine Boyar won the first gold medal for Bulgaria with the Marselan Chanson rose wine, this year again the cellar won silver medals with two of its wines: Next 20 Years Rose Grenache & Mourvedre 2011, which is awarded a medal for the second consecutive year, and the new Elements Rose 2012.
Exclusive was the success of "Domaine Boyar" at Concours Mondial de Bruxelles 2013, where the winery triumphed with three gold and four silver medals. The gold medal winners are: Chanson Rose Pinot Noir 2012 и Ars Longa Syrah&Cabernet Franc&Merlot 2011 и Domaine Boyar Cabernet&Merlot Reserve 2010.
The silver medal winners are: Quantum Sauvignon Blanc 2012, Quantum Chardonnay 2012, Quantum Malbec&Cabernet Sauvignon 2011, Domaine Boyar Reserve Caberet Sauvignon 2010.
The results from the international competitions show that Domaine Boyar firmly retains its positions of undisputed leader among Bulgarian wine producers and also of a leading winery in the production of high-quality white and rosé wines.

The medal winning wines come from the latest series of the company, representing its new face, and already have many admirers not only in Bulgaria but also on the international scene.
