The name ZAGORE has Bulgarian origin. It literally means “behind the mountain”. It is the historical name of the area between Sredna Gora in the north, the Chirpan hills in the west, the Black Sea in the east and the Rhodopi, Sakar and Strandzha mountains in the south. The Thracian Lowland, a land of deep history and wine production traditions, is located there.
